This report assesses current and future agricultural water demand and supply in Delta. It evaluates potential improvements to agricultural water supply infrastructure and provides recommendations on next steps. Modelling established current and future agricultural water demand and assessed the conveyance capacity of the City of Delta’s surface water system. These results were integrated with existing modeled data of Fraser River supply to develop a water balance assessment for six different current and future scenarios. Six different infrastructure improvements were assessed, including evaluation of their impact on supply in the six water balance scenarios and a high-level cost analysis. The benefit of each option is demonstrated by the modelled impact on days of irrigation curtailment.
